Some people think coupons are a waste. Others think they are not worth the time it takes to clip them…saving 25 cents here, or a dollar there won’t make a difference. Well, I am here to tell you that I am a coupon cutter from way back, and if you combine them with sales and clearance items, they are VERY worth your time. Especially in today’s economy…every few dollars I save at the grocery store, is a few more dollars I can put in my gas tank, or savings account.
Allow me to share a few of this weeks savings:
Publix
Purina Beggin Strips on sale 2 for $5
I had 2 $1 off 1 pkg coupons, making my final price 2 for $3 - or $1.50 per bag!
Health Valley 10 oz cans White Meat Chunk Chicken on sale buy one @ $3.59, get one free.
I had 3/ .65 cents off 2 cans coupons, so I got 6 cans for $8.82, or $1.47 a can!
Quaker Breakfast Cookies/Fruit Bars/Muffin Bars on sale buy one @ $3.19, get one free.
I had 2 $1 off 1 box coupons, so I got 2 boxes for $1.19, or .60 a box (TEN CENTS A BAR!)
Target
Two pack of Colgate Total toothpaste on clearance for $1.38.
I had a $1.50 off any size Colgate Total coupon, so they paid me 12 cents to take home 2 tubes of Colgate Total! HA!!
I get my coupons from the Sunday paper, assorted flyers in the front of the stores, shelf flashers at the store, in my free samples that I get in snail mail, emails, company website, or an internet coupon site. If I need something and I don’t have a coupon for it, I will usually do a quick internet search and find one!
Give it a try and see if you can save some money the next time you go shopping! You’ll be so happy at saving money you’ll want to jump up and down on a mini trampoline!
