I too lost my mom to pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed 2/23/07 and passed away 5 months and 12 days later on 8/5/07. She was totally healthy and had no risk factors prior to waking up on morning with jaundice and then being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She was 66. I am very involved with our local PanCAN group and like you have found an incredible support system that I never knew existed. We must get the media to give our cancer more attention so that we can get more funding to fight this disease. Jen

We lost a long-time family friend to pancreatic cancer. He was my best friend's father who was very close to my parents and siblings as well all our lives up until he passed away. He didn't get to see his grandchildren be born. It was extremely sad for everybody involved.
